November 2017
November has flown by and it's hard to believe we are into Winter. This month Anita from Music Generation Carlow brought wooden instruments with her and we played them. We learned about houses and homes. We looked on Google Maps on images of buildings in Clonegal. We learned various names for houses like bungalow, two story, detached. We learned about Winter and how hard it is on birds. We read about Apollo the Swallow and how he heads off to Africa for the winter. We fed the birds in our wildlife garden! We are just about ready to put on Our Christmas Show - Ralph the Reindeer. We have been so busy practicing. We cannot wait for you to see it!

October 2017
Here are pictures of some of our activities from October. We made Apple Crumble from the lovely apples that grow in Autumn. We ate this with some yummy custard. We learned about Hedgehogs. In art we made spiders and witches. We had to be very careful cutting out our witches. You will also see us dressed up for Halloween. We had great fun. It was very spooky down in Huntington Castle and we loved it.

September 2017
Our new junior infants have started school and have settled in very well. 18 junior infants walked into our classroom on the first day of school. It is a very busy classroom and the children are learning lots. We are getting to know our school grounds, the people who work in our school and what exactly school involves.  The day seemed quiet long at the start but we soon got used to it! Here are some pictures of the work we have been doing! As you can see we do lots of hands on work and are very active in our learning!
